Nine Mile Brewing Company

Nine Mile Brewing is Bloomington's first and only craft brewery, opened in 2022 after years of work by founder Bob Countryman to change the city charter that had banned taprooms since the 1960s. Named after Nine Mile Creek, which runs through the city about a mile from our doors, the 10,500 square-foot facility includes a 3,000 square-foot taproom that seats 200, a dog-friendly outdoor patio, brewing operations you can see from the bar, and 2,000 square feet of event space. Our investor group has more than 300 years of Bloomington residency combined. This place was built by neighbors for neighbors. Pull tabs are part of the taproom experience here. Grab a fresh pint of one of the dozen-plus rotating beers from head brewer John Leingang (formerly of Dangerous Man Brewing), pick up a stack of tabs at the bar, and settle into a spot with friends. Food trucks rotate through the patio in warmer months. Live music and community events year-round. Just off I-494 with easy parking. Whether you are stopping in for pull tabs, a flight, or one of Leingang's seasonals, come see why Bloomington was waiting so long for a spot like this.
